Peter Budd was until recently leader of Arup's airport business globally, a Director of Ove Arup & Partners Ltd and Chairman of Arup Scotland.

Peter has had extensive experience of working in China; his first projects were constructed in the early 1980s in Shanghai and Dalian.

With strong links to China, Peter is Vice Chairman of China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) which supports the development of Sino-British trade. Peter is a Fellow of the 48 Group Club, an independent business network committed to promoting positive relations with China.

Peter is a member of the University Court of the University of Edinburgh and sits on the Board of Governors at Manchester Metropolitan University. He is also a Board member and trustee of Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS).
